Benevilla Achieves the GuideStar 2020 Platinum Seal of Transparency

October 28, 2020

Benevilla is proud to announce they again achieved the GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2020.  This is the 4th year in a row Benevilla has reached Platinum status showcasing their continuing commitment to non-profit transparency and maintaining it.  The GuideStar Seal of Transparency is a leading symbol of transparency and accountability provided by GuideStar USA, Inc., a leading source of nonprofit information.

“We continue to work very hard to publicly promote our progress with our mission and vision in our community,” said Joanne Thomson, Benevilla President and CEO. “It’s all about transparency.  As a GuideStar participant, we share a wealth of up-to-date information about our work to our supporters and GuideStar’s online following.”

The GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency is the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar. GuideStar Platinum encourages nonprofit organizations to share their progress and results in important new ways, moving way beyond simplistic financial ratios, to reflect the changes organizations are making in the world.

Benevilla is proud to have earned a Platinum Seal to share our full and complete story with the world.  To reach the highest level of transparency, we added extensive information to our Nonprofit Profile:

  • Information about our mission, programs, leadership, etc.
  • In-depth financial information
  • Qualitative information about goals, strategies, and vision
  • Progress we are making toward our mission.

Plus, we have provided fresh information to 200+ charitable websites and applications that use GuideStar data, such as AmazonSmile, Facebook, and Network for Good. Want to learn more about Benevilla? Check out our profile at https://www.guidestar.org/profile/86-0404687
