Benevilla and the Surprise Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission host a FREE Public Art Bus Tour

West Valley, AZ – Benevilla, the West Valley’s premier family services nonprofit, has announced its fifth annual “Public Art Bus Tour” in partnership with the Surprise Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission, will be Wednesday, March 20th.

The tour offers a terrific way to spend a morning, discovering various art exhibits and visual experiences.  The Surprise Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission and Benevilla are co-hosts of this free bus tour, which begins at the Benevilla main Surprise campus at 16752 N. Greasewood Street, Surprise, AZ, 85378.

The Learning Tree, by artist Joe Tyler, is on public display at the Northwest Regional Library in Surprise.

Tour participants will visit art locations such as WHAM Art Gallery, Arts HQ, the Surprise Community Garden and the Surprise City Hall Galleries.  The public art bus will also visit several public art pieces, including the Joe Tyler Learning Tree, and much more.

The tour begins at 9AM and returns to the Benevilla campus at noon. Space is limited, and filling quickly, so please make your reservation by Wednesday, March 6th, 2019, by calling Benevilla at 623-584-4999.

At the conclusion of the bus tour, there will be an option to enjoy lunch at Birt’s Bistro on the Benevilla campus. The lunch package, which includes four menu options, is $15 per person and includes a meal, iced tea or soft drink, tip and tax. Please let Benevilla know if you would like the optional lunch when you reserve your spot for the bus tour.

Benevilla and Birt’s Bistro provide many opportunities for local artists and community members to collaborate and grow. There are free “Happy Hour” concerts featuring exciting local bands every Friday and Saturday night from 5PM to 7PM at Birt’s Bistro, which also hosts a new exhibit of local artists each month. Pieces are on exhibit throughout the Bistro, with all creations available for public sale. Make sure to stop by The Boutique at Birt’s Bistro for myriad unique and creative gifts, handmade crafts and more art, all from local artisans.
