West Valley, AZ – Benevilla, the West Valley’s premier family services nonprofit, has announced The Benevilla Family Resource Center, in partnership with the City of Surprise and CPLC Parenting Arizona, offers free parenting classes for parents and caregivers of children up to 18 years old. Classes are currently in session, so interested caregivers should act fast to ensure participation.

Our free parenting classes offer information on positive discipline and parenting skills, healthy communication, child development milestones and social emotional development. These two-hour classes are group-based and meet once a week for eight weeks. Free parenting classes meet every Thursday from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at the Benevilla Family Resource Center at Surprise City Hall, 12425 W. Bell Rd., Suite 124, Surprise, AZ, 85374. For more information about parenting classes, contact Juan Cossio at the FRC by calling 623-207-6016 or Monica Lopez with CPLC Parenting Arizona at 623-313-1562.

The Family Resource Center helps parents and anyone in a caregiving role prepare children up to 5 years of age to start school as healthy as possible and ready to succeed. FRC resource specialists help put families in touch with community resources and promote literacy and school readiness through group play and activities. Families can find information on child development and get linked to support for parenting and family issues.
