Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
Kinship Caregiving
The Benevilla Family Resource Center is an ideal place to go if you’re a young parent raising a child. But where do you go if you’re a grandparent raising your grandchildren?
Are you raising a grandchild or a relatives child?
Do you need answers, information, resources, support, or a caring listener? Our Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program Coordinator, Sherry Griffin, has been there herself and is here to help guide you through the intricacies of kinship caregiving.
Our FREE kinship caregiver program is designed to provide the level of support you need with different levels of care:
Individual – The Kinship Support Coordination Program is a 90 day, in-home (or safe place) visitation program. We support Grandfamilies facing challenges with meeting their needs or accessing services through case management and family strengthening strategies.
Group/Social & Educational – Monthly support groups, designed to provide emotional and educational support. Support groups are a great place to find information and resources.
Family Fun Events – These low to no cost events are planned to create family bonding and provide social interaction with other kinship families.
