Marley Park Philanthropy Group and Others Makes Wishes Come True for Members of the Benevilla Family Resource Center

December 17, 2020

Benevilla is very thankful for the Marley Park Philanthropy Team who hosted an “Adopt A Family” donation drive for new blankets and pjs to support the members of their Family Resource Center programs this holiday season.

Marley Park Community gathered 26 blankets and 96 pajamas for needy families with children ages 0-5.  Others making donations included: members of the Benevilla Lucy Anne’s Place Life Enrichment Program, Benevilla employees, City of Surprise employees, City of Surprise Police & Fire Department, Altrusa, Michelle & Bob Dionisio, Melinda Kelling, Alex and Marshall Manriquez, Elizabeth Trevino, the Owner of Skin Frenzy and None of your Biz, Dentist Mathew Jensen, and Bobbie Loverink.

“Marley Park has been a longtime advocate of Benevilla.  So many deserving families will be supported by the generosity of those in our community” stated Aleena Erickson, Family Resource Manager.

The Benevilla Family Resource Center (BFRC) offers free, bilingual services and programs to families with young children throughout the NW Maricopa region at convenient community sites. Resource Specialists link parents to community services, answer questions, and help complete applications for AHCCCS and DES. Family Educators present workshops informing and supporting parents with proven strategies and techniques focusing on child development and family issues. Other parent-child interactive classes and events help raise parent awareness of the importance of early childhood experiences to healthy development through play, songs, and movement. BFRC’s Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program offers support and education to this special group of second-time parents.
