Wirtzie’s Preschool and Child Care Remains Open to Support First Responders and Health Care Workers

April 13, 2020

Wirtzie’s Preschool and Child Care , Surprise Child Care, will remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic serving families and workers with young children who are first responders or in the healthcare and medical industry.

Wirtzie’s enrollment is open to children 6 weeks old to 12 years of age for first responders and health professionals on the front lines serving our community. Registration fees are being waived. Please call (623) 207-6022 or visit www.Wirtzies.org today so we can help.  Hours of operation are 6:30 am until 6:00 pm.

“Wirtzie’s is implementing stringent protocols to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. These protocols include restricting access to the building to non-essential personnel, daily temperature testing for all children arriving for the program,  limiting the number of children and employees who can be in a single room together as well as advanced cleaning and  sanitizing precautions,” outlines Kresta Horn, the Director of Child Development at Wirtzie’s.

Wirtzie’s Preschool and Child Care is a DES Certified provider.  The program is licensed, nationally accredited and is a highly rated “Quality First” Center by First Things First of Arizona.  In fact, Wirtzie’s has received a 4-Star Rating from Quality First. This star rating means Wirtzie’s Preschool and Child Care exceeds quality standards.

Wirtzie’s Childcare is considered an essential service during COVID-19. We are honored to be able to serve our local first responders and medical personnel as they continue to work towards a safer community.

Annette and Rick are both in law enforcement. Along with being in Law Enforcement they have taken on the most honorable and one of the biggest commitments to be foster parents. Two months ago, they took into their home triplet three-year olds. Instantly their family tripled in size.  Daily, they bring the three bouncing, lively and happy children to Wirtzie’s. The two girls and one boy are always ready to tell us about their new beds, their new family, and all the love they receive. Rick and Annette depend on Wirtzie’s to be open so they can respond to our community and state. Today, Ashley asked if we were going to remain open because she had heard other childcare facilities had closed their doors. She was greatly relieved when she was told Wirtzie’s is committed to staying open as long as we can and we are here to serve families just like theirs.
