Wirtzie’s Preschool is Awarded a 4-Star Rating Through Quality First

July 10, 2018

Benevilla announced today that Wirtzie’s Preschool and Child Care has received a 4-Star Rating from Quality First. This star rating means that Wirtzie’s Preschool and Child Care exceeds quality standards.

Quality First – a signature program of First Things First – partners with child care and preschool providers to improve the quality of early learning across Arizona.

What does this Quality First Star Rating mean for Wirtzie’s Preschool and Childcare? Quality early learning settings build on basic health and safety to include teachers who know how to work with young children, learning environments that nurture the development of every child, and positive, consistent relationships and interactions that give children the individual attention they need.

“We could not be more proud and excited for Wirtzie’s to receive this amazing star rating,” says Gwen Shawley, Director of Child Development.  “Everyone at Wirtzie’s works so hard to provide high quality service to the families in our community.”

Participation in Quality First is voluntary, and all programs enrolled in Quality First have made a commitment to improvements that research shows help young children thrive.

With more exciting news, the Wirtzie’s Infant Room will be opening this August and will serve children 6 weeks to 12 months old. The waiting list is now open. Please call 623.207.6022 today, space is limited.
