West Valley Crescendo Choir performs during the Jingle & Jive holiday concert at Benevilla, surrounded by festive decorations and community membersOn December 12, holiday cheer filled Benevilla’s West Valley Life Enrichment campus as the Crescendo Choir took the stage for their annual Jingle & Jive concert. From the first note to the final sing-along, the room was buzzing with smiles, laughter, and plenty of festive spirit.

Family members, friends, volunteers, and staff gathered to enjoy a joyful afternoon of music performed by Crescendo Choir members — participants in Benevilla’s West Valley Life Enrichment Program. The choir is made up of individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, dementia, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), stroke recovery, and other age-related challenges, who come together each week to rehearse, connect, and share their love of music.

More than just a concert, Jingle & Jive was a celebration of community. The performance was followed by a holiday party where guests enjoyed refreshments, conversation, and a very special visit from Santa, much to everyone’s delight. The festive atmosphere made it easy to see how meaningful these shared moments are — not just for choir members, but for everyone lucky enough to be in the room.

A heartfelt thank you to Hospice of the Valley for helping bring Santa to the celebration and adding an extra touch of magic to the afternoon.
