Benevilla Support Groups

Caring for an aging family member can be very rewarding. It can also be equally challenging as family become the primary source of support and care for an older adult who is no longer able to care for himself/herself.
At Benevilla, we understand that the best thing that caregivers can do for the loved one he/she is caring for is to take care of themselves both physically and emotionally.

The Benevilla peer to peer caregiver support groups are a great place to recharge and connect with other caregivers who are in similar situations. As you learn from other families’ experiences, you will gain practical advice and comfort. Benevilla support groups are nonjudgmental safe places to voice the stress, frustration, and fears that are part of caregiving and finding the assurance that you are not alone.

Benevilla offers supports groups for memory care, ambiguous loss and grief, Parkinson’s, bereavement and adult children caregivers. As you navigate your caregiver journey, there are support groups to assist each step of the way.

The Benevilla caregiver support groups give the gift of hope through authentic empathy and understanding.

Caregiver Respite Opportunity

For individuals who are not currently enrolled at one of our Life Enrichment Programs, Benevilla offers a free respite opportunity at our West Valley location while you are at one of the Benevilla support groups. This respite is available during the time of the support group only and is based on space availability that day. If your loved one is already enrolled at the program, they will need to use one of their regular scheduled days.

Before respite is used the first time, the Life Enrichment Director or designee will meet with you to complete the necessary paperwork. Once enrolled, caregivers must contact the Life Enrichment Program at least 24 hours in advance to see if there is available space and schedule with the Director or designee for each visit.

The Life Enrichment Program Director can be reached by calling 623-584-4999.

Parenting isn’t easy – especially the second-time around.

Grandparents or relatives who find themselves in the unexpected position of raising their grandchildren or kin face complex questions and situations. Sharing a household across generations can be more manageable with the support of others on the same journey.

Through the help of our caregiver supportive services, grandparents can balance the challenges of this growing family dynamic.
