June 30, 2025

The Take a Break, Pick Up a Brush event offered caregivers the chance to unwind, express themselves, and discover the calming benefits of painting in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

No art experience was required—just curiosity and a willingness to try something new. Participants explored the therapeutic power of art, learned simple painting techniques, and created their own meaningful works of art. The final pieces were nothing short of amazing, showcasing both the talent and the courage of those who stepped outside their comfort zones to embrace creativity.

The workshop was a huge success, with attendees leaving not only with beautiful artwork but also with a renewed sense of connection and calm. Events like these reflect Benevilla’s commitment to supporting caregivers with resources that promote well-being, reduce stress, and build community.

A heartfelt thank you to John Yaeger for generously sharing his time, talent, and passion for art with our caregiver community. His guidance helped bring out the inner artist in everyone who attended.

Stay tuned for more upcoming workshops and events at the Benevilla Education Center designed to support caregivers and families throughout the West Valley.
