Benevilla’s West Valley Life Enrichment Program delighted the community with its Crescendo Choir Winter Wonderland Concert on December 13th, filling The Church on Cactus to capacity. The event celebrated the holiday season with music, connection, and an inspiring showcase of talent and resilience.
The performers, all members of Benevilla’s Life Enrichment Program, brought the joy of music to life as they performed a selection of holiday favorites. This unique choir includes stroke survivors, individuals with Parkinson’s, those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Together, they demonstrated the power of music to bring people together, uplift spirits, and create a profound sense of accomplishment.
“This concert is such a special moment for our participants, their families, and our community,” said Joanne Byers, President and CEO of Benevilla. “The Crescendo Choir embodies the heart of our mission: fostering inclusion, connection, and empowerment. Watching the performers light up the stage was a testament to the transformative impact of our Life Enrichment Program.”
Family members and friends filled the pews, applauding the heartfelt performances and festive atmosphere. The concert served not only as an opportunity to celebrate the holiday season but also as a moment of triumph and expression for the choir members, who have overcome unique challenges through the support of Benevilla’s programs.
Benevilla extends heartfelt gratitude to The Church on Cactus for hosting the event and to the dedicated staff, volunteers, and families who made the concert possible. Their ongoing support enables Benevilla to continue offering programs that enrich lives and strengthen the community.
