Restorative Life Enrichment Day Program

Serving members with Parkinson’s, early to moderate Alzheimer’s or other dementia, are a survivor of a stroke, or have had a fall-related injury.

Promotes activity, mobility and independence, increases muscle strength and balance, enhances confidence and self-esteem and focuses on preventing deterioration wherever possible. The physical challenges that require physical therapy also challenge personal independence. The focus of restorative care is on each person’s potential rather than on a diagnosis or limitations. By creating a team approach of personalized, short-term, and achievable goals, members are encouraged to reach and maintain their highest level of function. A registered nurse provides medical oversight.

What is a Life Enrichment Program?

All people can benefit from the opportunity to connect with others in meaningful ways, no matter their age or medical diagnosis. The staff of caring professionals that create the Benevilla Life Enrichment Programs make sure those meaningful experiences happen every day at our programs and that our members lives are positively impacted with every visit.

For every person enrolled in a Benevilla program, two people get their lives back: the individual and the caregiver.

Special Restorative Programming

The member’s doctor signs off on the member’s ability to receive continuing restorative therapy. The member’s Licensed Physical Therapist comes to the program and meets with the member, their caregiver, and a Restorative Enrichment Partner. During that meeting they set a Restorative Goal.

Provides Time Off from Caregiving

Benevilla Life Enrichment Day Programs provide respite for family members caring for a loved one. Caregivers need time off from the stresses and strains of caring for loved one. Benevilla also offers other programs to support Caregivers such as our Free Caregiver Support Groups and Community Resources.

Group Exercise; Socialization through games, discussion groups, entertainment, outings, arts & crafts, and Cognitive Stimulation through brain games, cards, puzzles, and more. We provide the latest in proven therapeutic methods for increased levels of happiness and engagement for all members.

Restorative Therapy & Meals

A specially designed “Essential Lifestyle Program” is tailored for your loved one by a Restorative Specialist, and implemented by Benevilla staff. Your loved one will also receive morning and afternoon snacks and a nutritious lunch prepared fresh each day by our on campus restaurant, Birt’s Bistro.
