Benevilla Free Educational Workshop – “You’re Not Alone in Creating a Plan for the Future”

February 17, 2022

Benevilla is excited to announce their next “Live on Zoom” educational workshop of 2022 will be Wednesday, February 23rd from 1:30 PM to 3:00PM.   This interactive presentation titled “You’re Not Alone – Creating a Plan for the Future” features our Benevilla expert senior care partner, Crystal LittleJohn, MHSA, CMC, CSA from Geriatric Resources, LLC.  Most older adults have so many responsibilities, and possibly health challenges, in life they forget to make time to plan their future or take care of their own personal needs. Whether you are a couple or single, learn how to prioritize your plans to schedule and improve your physical and emotional health.

Who could care for you if you become ill or need assistance as you age?  With married couples, these plans often deal with different desires and what each person wants, should they live longer than their partner. If a loved one passes away, do you move into an assisted living facility or try to stay independent at home?  Regardless of their different visions, a couple needs to ensure they would both be safe and taken care of as they continued to age, and to know someone would be there for them in a crisis.

As a Certified Geriatric Care Manager, Crystal has spent her career in service to seniors. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Plymouth State University, as well as a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Strayer University.

During a health care career spanning almost 25 years, Crystal has obtained quality experience in the assisted living, skilled nursing, assisted living memory care, hospice, and geriatric care management arenas.

This free presentation is part of the yearlong Benevilla C.A.R.E.S. Virtual “Educational Workshop” series featuring carefully selected professionals who can answer your questions and provide guidance and resources you may need to prepare for senior life changes, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.  To reduce the risk of public exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic, Benevilla has chosen to convert all their popular education workshops into live, online Zoom events.  Benevilla will continue, for the near future, using the online Zoom format for their workshops.  Upcoming workshops cover a broad range of important topics from in-home care management and hospice to estate preparation and tax savings tips.

Reservations are required. When you register for the event, please provide a working email address.   You will then be provided a secure link and password as well as easy to follow instructions on how to attend via the secure Zoom video conference application. Please call Benevilla at 623-584-4999 or visit https://benevilla.org/community-events/ to reserve your spot.
