Benevilla Free Workshop Highlights Probate and Other Misconceptions in Estate Planning

February 03, 2022

Benevilla is hosting a free estate planning workshop with Attorney Michael McGreevy, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 1:30PM via the Zoom online platform.  He will discuss the importance of understanding probate and other misconceptions in estate planning.  This workshop will help you update your estate plan for future uncertainties and ensure your future plans are securely in place.

Do you have your financial affairs in order?  Do you remember when you last reviewed your estate plan?  Do you know the difference between a will and a trust?  What are the best assets to leave to your family versus a charity?  What is probate and how to avoid it.  Find answers to these questions and more at this free interactive workshop.

Michael J. McGreevy is a licensed and practicing attorney in Sun City, Arizona.  He followed in his father’s footsteps and joined him as a partner at McGreevy Law Office upon obtaining his Juris Doctorate.  Michael practiced alongside his father, James McGreevy, for a number of years until his retirement in July 2015.  Michael has continued to run the practice just as his father did and enjoys working with clients and their families to help plan for the future. When Michael is not in the office, you will likely find him traveling, golfing, cooking, or playing fetch with his pug.

To reduce the risk of public exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic, Benevilla has chosen to convert their popular education workshops into live, online Zoom events.  These free, interactive events are part of the yearlong Benevilla “Educational Workshop” series featuring carefully selected professionals who can answer your questions and provide guidance and resources you may need to prepare for senior life changes, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Upcoming workshops cover a broad range of important topics from in-home care management and hospice to estate preparation and tax savings tips.

Reservations are required. When you register for the event, please provide a working email address.   You will then be provided a secure link and password as well as easy to follow instructions on how to attend via the secure Zoom video conference application. Please sign up online at https://benevilla.org/community-events/ or call Benevilla at 623-584-4999 to reserve your spot.
