Benevilla, the West Valley’s premier family services nonprofit has again joined the online global fundraising movement called “GivingTuesday.” GivingTuesday is a generosity movement offering an opportunity for people to use their individual power of giving to reimagine a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. It’s a day when everyone comes together to give back to their communities.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day encouraging people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement inspiring hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts. Occurring this year on November 28th, GivingTuesday is held annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
All donations Benevilla receives as a participant of GivingTuesday will directly support their Home Services Program. The Benevilla Home Services Program helps West Valley older adults and adults with disabilities stay independent in their homes for as long as possible by providing free volunteer supported services such as grocery shopping, assisted transportation to medical appointments, wellness checks, phone pals and more. Services are available short- or long-term to those with limited resources and options.
