Thank You to our Preferred Partners, local businesses, supporters, volunteers and community members who attended the 2023 Benevilla C.A.R.E.S. “Health Resource Fair”

Benevilla is excited to announce their 2nd annual C.A.R.E.S. Program “Health Resource Fair” was a great success.  The event included healthcare resources, wellness screenings, blood pressure checks, entertainment from the Tremble Clefs, a local choral group who works with people afflicted by Parkinson’s disease, interactive events, fresh produce and wares from Golo Family Organic Farms and fitness class demonstrations.  This event was free and open to the public.  Simply Good Brew coffee and refreshment truck was on site as well as delicious food available from the House of Ribs food truck.

The fair was held outdoors on the Benevilla main campus located at 16752 N. Greasewood St., Surprise, 85378. The free event provided family caregivers and those looking for help with their loved ones struggling with their independence at home with support, expert guidance, and valuable information to assist them with the challenges they may be facing.

Family caregivers got their pressing questions answered. The Benevilla C.A.R.E.S. program consists of over 20 local senior services providers Benevilla has formed true partnerships with each with a commitment to quality and ethics that is unsurpassed. They have been vetted, are ethical, and are leaders in their professional community. When you are referred to a Benevilla C.A.R.E.S. partner you can be assured each, foremost, supports the Benevilla mission and you will receive professional and principled service.

The expert advice and resources of the exhibitors ranged from senior living options and placement to hospice and home care choices, elder law, veteran’s benefits, ALTCS, real estate, geriatric care management, fiduciary services, estate planning and supervision and more.

There was Benevilla programs information available, as well, highlighting our Life Enrichment Adult Day Programs, free support groups, free home services, and our free C.A.R.E.S. (Community Assistance, Resources, Education and Support) Resource Department. The new Benevilla Benefitness Adaptive Gym which launched last July was open with live fitness class demonstrations and Rock Steady Boxing classes.

“Benevilla is excited to have so many local senior services experts in one place at one time to support our aging population in the Northwest valley,” says Benevilla President and CEO, Joann Thomson. “Today, 30-60% of caregivers pass from illnesses related to caregiver stress before the person they are caring for. That’s why getting family caregivers this type of specialized support and information are crucial for our aging communities and their families.”

Plans are now in motion for our 2024 Health Resource Fair.

Please check back early next year for more information.
